Els Angels (East Side)
Els Angels is a classic climb, that is popular with the many professional and amateur cyclists that reside in the area. The climb finishes at the Els Angels chapel and is in trees throughout the ascent, so there are no spectacular views. Nevertheless, it is a quiet and pleasant climb which takes you from the foothills of the Pyrenees, to the flat lands around the Costa Brava (Wild Coast). Riding doesn’t get much better than this: peaceful, rolling roads with hardly any traffic, pretty woodland, medieval villages, and ancient churches.
