The road from Sant Celoni over the Montseny massif, in Catalonia, Spain, climbs past Santa Fe and over the massif. The massif has been a UNESCO biosphere reserve since 1978, and the Montseny brook newt lives nowhere else. The Volta a Catalunya crossed the Montseny by Santa Fe on its opening stage in 2019, when Thomas De Gendt went clear and won alone in Calella.

This ride starts south of Sant Celoni and climbs past Campins and Mosqueroles to Santa Fe. The road tops out below Les Agudes, at 1,703 m the massif’s second-highest summit. It then drops past Sant Marçal, a Romanesque hermitage consecrated around 1066, and the ride ends on the road east of Viladrau.
