This ride climbs a short, very steep road off the coastal plain, from Los Silos to La Tierra del Trigo, on the Isla Baja of north-west Tenerife, Spain. Both places on it are named after grain. Los Silos first appears in a land deed of 1509, and its name comes from three grain stores built by its founder, Gonzalo Yanes. Today bananas are its main crop.

The ride starts at La Cuesta, in Buenavista del Norte, and runs east on the TF-42 to Los Silos. Past the town the climbing begins at Las Calvas and continues to La Tierra del Trigo, about 500 m up. As its name says, wheat was once sown there; vines have since replaced it. The ride ends at Cruz Grande, on the edge of El Tanque.
