Cima Pedro Gonzalez (North side)

The Cima Pedro González, also called the Mirador de Ayagaures, is a summit of almost 500 m on the GC-503 above Maspalomas, in southern Gran Canaria, Spain. It is named after Pedro González, the best-known cycling journalist on Spanish television in the 1990s. The climb is one of the most popular on the island for cyclists.

This ride starts at Maspalomas and follows the GC-504 up the Ayagaures ravine to the hamlet of Ayagaures. Nearby is the Ayagaures reservoir, whose dam was built between 1939 and 1952. From the hamlet the GC-503 climbs steeply out of the valley to the mirador, and the ride ends on the first bends of the descent.
