Innsbruck TT
This ride follows the Inn valley in Tyrol, Austria, along part of the course of the elite men’s time trial at the 2018 UCI Road World Championships. That race started in Rattenberg, ran west along the valley, crossed the Inn at Weer and climbed to Gnadenwald before finishing in Innsbruck. Rohan Dennis won by 1 minute 21 seconds from Tom Dumoulin, and Victor Campenaerts missed the silver medal by 0.53 seconds.
The ride starts in Kundl and soon reaches Rattenberg, where the time trial began. By area it is the smallest municipality in Austria, and it belonged to Bavaria until 1505. Further west lies Schwaz, whose silver mines made the Fugger bankers rich in the 15th and 16th centuries. At Weer the race crossed the river, but the ride stays on the south bank past Wattens and Volders. It then climbs through Ampass and ends on the edge of Aldrans, a village on the circuit of the 2018 road races.
