The Santuari dels Àngels stands on the Puig Alt in the Gavarres, above Girona in Catalonia, Spain, and the road from the Girona plain is the long, gentle way up to it. A chapel to the Virgin was licensed on the hill in 1409. The sanctuary was rebuilt after damage in 1710 and again after a fire in 1809. On 8 August 1958 Salvador Dalí and Gala were married there, quietly, with no family present.

This ride follows the GIV-6703 from its first kilometre at Palol d’Onyar, a former village now part of Quart, east into the Gavarres. The road climbs at a steady gradient through the woods, and the ride ends at the sanctuary on the top of the hill.
