Punta de Teno is the northwesternmost point of Tenerife, located in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte. It is part of the Parque Rural de Teno, a protected natural area with great ecological and landscape value spanning over 8,000 hectares. The area is known for its rugged and wild landscapes, dramatic cliffs such as those of Los Gigantes that reach up to 600 meters high, and pristine volcanic shores. This cape offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and neighboring islands like La Gomera. Punta de Teno features both an old and a newer lighthouse, with the original lighthouse built in 1897 using stone from La Gomera. The lighthouse is a symbol of the area and a popular spot for visitors, especially at sunset. The cape is often considered the "end of the world" for Tenerife as it is one of the last visible land points toward the west before the open sea.
