It sits at an altitude of about 470 meters and is well-known both for its stunning panoramic views and for being a popular destination for cyclists. The viewpoint offers spectacular vistas over the Barranco de Fataga, a deep ravine carved in volcanic rock formations that are about 12 to 11 million years old. From here, visitors can see the typical semi-desert vegetation of the Canary Islands, including tabaiba and cardón plants, as well as the iconic Canarian palm trees. The area also hosts unique plant species such as the Drago grancanario, found nowhere else. Near the location is the Necrópolis de Arteara, an archaeological site containing ancient burial cists, emphasizing the area’s historical significance.
